ACER was founded in 1976 by Mestre Celso in Rio de Janeiro. Mestre Celso(68yrs) learnt the art of Capoeira from Mestre Arthur Emidio(78yrs) who started Capoeira in his childhood with a very old master who learnt directly from an Ex-Slave.

Mestre Celso having tought Capoeira for over 50yrs, he is now one of the oldest, active and living Capoeira Mestre in both Rio and the United Kingdom.
